Among the Karen Hospital’s very first patients are one Mr. David, fondly referred to as Papa David. It is Dr. Gikonyo’s ‘Patients’ first’ policy that had Papa hooked in 1976.
Papa David applauds The Karen Hospital staff, saying that they are very kind to him and that he always feels at home when he is within the premises.
Papa lives in Nakuru and he is very happy that a Karen Hospital Branch is available very near his home. This is what prompted him to invite The Karen Hospital Nakuru Branch staff to his home for a thanksgiving service.
He also regularly pays courtesy calls to the main hospital whenever he is in Nairobi. “I have referred also my friends and family to The Karen Hospital”
