MILESTONES – So Far So Good.

The Medical College has benefited from the generous support of its board of directors, staff, students and partners. As result, we have registered a number of achievements and accolades in addition to exemplary performance including;

  • Registration and accreditation by Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) and has seen the college offer high-quality training in the KRN program contributing positively to the healthcare workforce through the generation of more than 100 competent nurses in the labor market majority of whom have been absorbed in various healthcare facilities in Kenya, and recently internationally in the UK, USA and Australia.
  • Accreditation by TVETA and recently TVET-CDACC that has paved way for the college to train in technical courses such as Diploma in Peri-operative Theatre
    Technology level 6.
  • Accreditation by the Clinical Officers Council facilitating the implementation of Higher Diploma courses in Cardiology and Perfusion.
  • Highly competent, qualified and committed human capital with a variety of specialties in clinical physiology, oncology, nursing, medical education, research, pathology and forensic medicine among others.
  • Growth in students’ enrollment from 9 students in September 2013 to the current student population of 120 and over 100 nursing graduates released to the healthcare market in the last three graduations.
  • Growth in Academic Programs from initial Nursing (KRN) to the current 4 and that has seen the college transit from a school of Nursing to a Medical Training College. The college is currently on a transformational journey to becoming a university by the year 2030 as outlined in its strategic plan.
  • High standard of clinical experience in a tertiary level 5 institution giving our graduates a niche for the highly competitive local and international market. This has been achieved through partnerships with other healthcare service providers. As a teaching hospital, the college has also facilitated teaching experience for Bachelor of Science in Nursing from institutions of higher learning.
  • Work with no play makes jack a dull boy. The college also prides in its achievements in co-curricular activities such as sports, cultural events and CSR activities. We endeavour to provide quality education and support our students to achieve exemplary performance.
